Are you feeling overwhelmed by the never-ending tasks and responsibilities of your business, career, or life? Do you want to make changes but aren’t sure where to start? It’s time to craft a big vision that encompasses your passions and unique strengths, and take inspired action steps to turn it into reality.
As a coach, I guide my clients through a process of changing their focus and habits to achieve meaningful results. But it all starts with taking action. Without action, you won’t move forward and reach the results you desire. Coaching is about getting results by listening to what you truly want and working together to set measurable steps that lead to action and success. You are responsible for creating momentum, but a coach can provide support, encouragement, guidance, and accountability along the way.
The key ingredient for success in your business, career, and life is vision. It all begins with a thought, a great idea, or a passionate dream. These intangible sparks ignite our drive to turn them into reality. Start by brainstorming on paper, allowing your thoughts and ideas to flow freely without editing. If you’re defining your personal vision and work vision, begin with the personal vision to gain clarity on what truly matters to you, what you’re passionate about, and what fulfills you. From there, create a clear vision for your ideal business or career and take action to bring it to life.
When crafting your vision, be specific and detailed. Avoid vague statements like “lots of money” or “no stress.” Instead, create a vivid picture in your mind of exactly what you want, from the color of the carpet in your office to the list of clients you want to serve. Use words to draw that picture until your vision becomes crystal clear. For example:
“I want to have a profitable and fulfilling holistic health practice where I see clients in three different specialties and have passive income revenue streams. I will work five days a week from noon to six, dedicating the rest of the day to self-care, gardening, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. I will make $100,000 a year and take five weeks of vacation throughout the year. I love to learn, so I will invest three weeks a year in educational workshops and training programs to advance my career and personal growth. I will also create tape sets, workbooks, and learning products that align with my vision and provide value to my clients. These products will generate income even when I’m not there, allowing me to make a contribution and improve people’s lives. I will redesign my home to be bright and airy, with well-tended gardens that provide beauty and nourishment. I will focus on the positive and let go of stress by prioritizing what truly matters to me.”
Remember, you create what you put your energy on. If you focus on what you don’t want or what you lack, you’ll attract more of the same. Shift your focus to what you do want and start taking steps to make it your reality. Creating a clear vision for your life, career, and business is the first step towards achieving your dreams. Consider hiring a coach to support you in making your vision a reality faster and with greater success. With a compelling vision and inspired action, you can craft the business, career, and life you truly desire.
